Staff Engineer - Backend (Governance)

We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Governance team. This role is crucial as we expand our Governance capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system design and the ability to implement high-quality, scalable solutions. You will own an upcoming module from a technology perspective, working closely with the product team to ensure that development aligns with business priorities. What will you do? 🤔 Convert business requirements into high-level and low-level designs, ensuring that solutions align with the overall architecture. Develop high-quality, robust systems by following best practices and industry standards. Identify scalability and stability challenges within the system and proactively plan for iterative improvements. Participate in code reviews and problem-solving brainstorming sessions to maintain code quality and encourage collaborative thinking. Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure that development efforts are prioritized correctly and aligned with business needs. Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles. What makes you a great match for us? 😍 Proficiency in Java or Go, with a strong understanding of distributed systems, ElasticSearch, and concurrency/multithreading. Experience with Kubernetes and multi-tenancy or vClusters.
